After two days at Chez Moffat, it’s off to Yorkshire. Stopped of at Christoph’s, had a takeaway with Sarah and Dan and collapsed in bed.
Saturday morning I take the opportunity to update the blog while Therese takes the opportunity to colour in her hair. Early afternoon, we’re off to Roarke and Naomi’s for lunch (an excellent mousakka …) then a change of direction and over the Pennines to Manchester and an evening at Chez Moore.
Again, the food was excellent – even if we didn’t get a main course. However, the pasta and greens followed by apple pie was very welcome – along with huge quantities of wine. Peter and Paula especially enjoyed our small slide show following the meal.
Sunday morning we had a late breakfast and pub lunch (sans alcohol) with Peter, Paula, Andrew and Megan. Then it’s off to Matt’s to catch up (though unfortunately he’s had to pop out).
Eventually we’re back at Sarah’s around 4pm – and knackered. Well, me anyway, since we’ve been on the go for around five days.
No alcohol for a couple of days at least now. We need to recover.
