It’s all German. And English.
First time I’ve ever arrived in a new city and known exactly where I’m going and how long to the next stage.
Arrive (on time) at the airport. Bus picks us up immediately. At baggage, there’s a countdown indicating when the bags will appear (8 minutes). They appear on time.
The nice lady behind the well signed route to the train station effortlessly gives me a 72 hour pass, lets me know all the places I can get in for free and advises my next train is in 5 minutes from platform 4. This is the case.
Leaving Zurich Hauptbahnhof, the number 3 tram has a countdown of 1 minute. Upon leaving, every stop on the route is listed … along with it’s estimated arrival time. Stops are announced in German and English.
I’m flabbergasted.
