I’ve been searching for this poster again since I saw it a month ago during the world cup. A little late … but it still puts paid to the view the Germans don’t have a (very dry) sense of humour.

Back in London for a couple of days. There’s synchronises which makes for a much more agreeable stay. Tuesday night an average pizza near Russell Square … Wednesday night a huge selection of Indian food for a ridiculously low cost at “The Vegetarian’s Paradise”.
And Thursday night … home. Good intentions of eating in are dispensed with by the time we arrive in Harrogate. We look for somewhere to eat, but the start of the school holidays leaves everywhere packed with children. We pick up some bread and head home for … cheese toasties.

View from the office. Liverpool Street (left), the City (right). Why number 1 in the office? Because at 0750, I’m first one in!

After the early crop of potatoes, around 40 courgettes (and more on the way), cauliflowers, raspberries, blackberries, pak choi, lettuce and spring onions, the tomatoes are ripening at a great pace. Those which don’t make the cut are destined for green tomato chutney.
Those which do (and we took around a punnet of yellow tomatoes yesterday) go straight into tomato salad. Two portions each yesterday and we could have eaten more. Which is good, since we have around 40 tomato plants.
